Help

What an agent is, how you set one up, and what to do when you want it changed or stopped. Written for someone who has heard of ChatGPT and nothing else.

Setting one up

An agent is a small helper that checks something for you on a schedule and writes back what it found. Setting one up is five short steps and takes about five minutes.

  1. Sign in

There is no password. You either continue with Google or we email you a one-time link to click. The link expires soon after it arrives, so use it while you are there.

  2. Pick the agent

Choose the one built for the job you want off your plate. Monitor Agent: watch a source, get told when it changes. Job Lookout Agent: describe the job once, hear about it when it opens. Instagram Report: what happened on your account, and what to do next. Enquiry Desk: every “price?” comment gets an answer. Publisher: queue the posts, let them go out on time. Nothing is built from scratch.

  3. Add what it should look at

Paste the web address of each page you want watched, and next to it write in your own words what would count as worth telling you about. One page is enough to start.

  4. Say where and how often

Choose where the report should arrive and how often the agent should check. Both are changeable later, so a first guess is fine.

  5. Write the instructions, then deploy

A few plain sentences about what to flag and what to ignore. Until you press Deploy the agent stays a draft, and a draft never runs.

What an agent can do

  • Watch pages for you

Point a monitor at a website, a topic, or a stream of new articles. On each run it checks the target, compares against what it saw last time, and reports what is new or different.

  • Look for new job postings

Describe the jobs you want in plain language. The server extracts the role, location, seniority, and skills to find fresh postings across AICROFT's managed career sources.

  • Follow your wording

The instructions you write are read on every run. Telling it to ignore blog posts, or to flag only price changes, is enough — there is no special syntax to learn.

  • Answer questions about itself

Each agent has a small chat beside it that explains what it currently watches, helps you word a source description, and suggests a sensible schedule.

What it cannot do

Worth knowing before you set one up, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  • It is not a general chatbot

The chat next to an agent only helps with that agent — what it watches, its schedule, and how its reports are delivered. Anything else is declined, and that limit is enforced on our server, not just in the screen.

  • It cannot see behind a login

An agent is given web addresses and nothing else. There is nowhere to hand it a username or a password, so a page only you can see after signing in is out of its reach.

  • It reports, it does not act

You are told a job opened or a price moved, with the link. Applying, replying, and deciding stay with you.

  • It is not instant

An agent checks on the schedule you picked, so news reaches you at the next check rather than the second it happens.

Where the report arrives

You choose where an agent sends its report. There are three places it can go.

  • Email

Put an email address in the delivery field and the report arrives there.

  • A webhook

If you would rather another app receive it, paste an https address that listens for incoming messages and the report is sent to it instead.

  • Telegram

To get reports as chat messages, create a bot in Telegram with @BotFather, add it to the chat you want, then paste its token and the chat id into the agent. The token is stored on our side and never shown again.

  • One is enough, two is fine

An agent needs at least one destination before it can be deployed. Email or webhook and Telegram can both be switched on if you want it in two places.

How often it runs

You pick the rhythm when you set the agent up, and you can change it whenever you like.

  • Every hour
  • Once a day
  • Weekday mornings
  • Once a week
  • Every two weeks
  • Once a month

Changing or stopping an agent

  • Edit anything, any time

Pages, keywords, schedule, delivery, instructions — open the agent, change it, save. The next check uses the new setup.

  • Pause it

Pausing keeps everything you configured and stops the agent from running. Resume puts it back exactly as it was.

  • Delete it

Deleting removes that agent's configuration and its deployment state. It is asked for confirmation first, and it does not affect your other agents.

  • Check on it

Each agent's page shows whether it is a draft, deployed, or paused, when it was deployed, and when it last checked.

Signing in

Your agents live behind a sign-in, so only you see what they watch and what they find.

There is no password to remember. Continue with Google, or type your email and we send you a link that signs you in once. How many agents and how many pages each can watch depends on your plan — the workspace shows your limits, and you can ask for more from the premium page once you are signed in.

Getting a person

If something here did not answer it, ask us — a person replies, within two working days.

You can also send us a message from the start page. Tell us what you were trying to do and where you got stuck — that is always enough to go on.

Ready when you are.

Pick the agent that matches the job you keep doing by hand, and we will walk the setup with you if you would rather not do it alone.
